Description
This course is an introduction to the Latin language, one of the most important languages in the development of Western civilization. Students will learn the basics of Latin grammar and vocabulary, and will be able to read and understand simple Latin texts. Through the study of Latin, students will gain a deeper understanding of the history, literature, and culture of ancient Rome and its influence on the modern world. The course will also focus on the historical development of the language and its relationship to other Romance languages. By the end of the course, students will be able to read and translate simple Latin texts and will have a solid foundation for further study of the language.

Requirements
- This course has a few key requirements that students must meet in order to succeed. First and foremost, students should have a willingness to learn a new language and engage with the material. Consistent practice and study outside of class is also necessary in order to master the material. The course will require a textbook or online resources provided by the instructor as a reference. Students will enroll in the course by completing an application process, which may include an assessment of their current Latin Language proficiency level.

These materials will cover grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, as well as Latin culture and idiomatic expressions.
